Fine Arts

An important aspect of Cornerstone's curriculum involves a steady commitment to fine arts. Consequently, each year the school participates in the Music in the Schools program sponsored by the Tucson Symphony Orchestra (TSO). At four different times during the school year, TSO ensemble performers share their talents, love and excitement for music with Cornerstone students. Ensemble groups include the string quintet, brass and percussion, piano trio, and the wind quintet.

This year's theme, "How Does Music Move You" will offer demonstrations of each instrument and its role in the ensemble and orchestra. The ensembles will explore the many different elements that go into creating different emotions in the listener. Each session concludes with an opportunity for students to interact with the musicians, and leave with a sweet melody in their hearts.
