2007-2008 Board Members:
Headmaster - Ex Officio
Dr. Thomas Askew has served for thirty-three years in God’s school system, both as administrator and classroom teacher. With dual certification in elementary and secondary, Dr. Askew has taught every elementary grade and most high school subjects at some point. He also taught one year in public school but was released for good behavior (too good!). This is Dr. Askew’s seventh year at Cornerstone Christian Academy, having moved to Tucson in 2001 after twenty-four years in Cochise County, where he started three different Christian schools. His degrees are from West Georgia College and the University of Arizona. His nerdy hobbies include reading everything in sight, writing, linguistics, and trivia-collecting. He and his wife Linda have four sons and are members of Catalina Foothills Church, PCA.
Board President
Mrs. Erin Cole is now serving her third year as a member of Cornerstone Christian Academy’s school board. She is currently serving in the role of Board President.

This is her family’s seventh year at Cornerstone, with all three of her children attending! The most important personal goal she has as Board President is to seek the will of her Father and Lord Jesus Christ. Her desire is to see this year’s board members be abounding in grace and unity for each other and for Cornerstone’s Covenant families, but most importantly to be devoted wholeheartedly to prayer. Her focused Scripture verse for 2007-2008 school year is Psalms 90:17 “And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands for us; Yes establish the work for our hands.”

"If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen." 1 Peter 4:11

Catalina Foothills Church Senior Pastor - Ex Officio
Rev. Mark Roessler (bio coming soon)
Board Members
Mr. Thom Dwan is serving his first year on the Cornerstone Board. Thom and his wife, Jeanne, are members of Casas Adobes Baptist Church and have had the privilege of being active parents at CCA since 1999, the school's second year of operation. They have four children – Amanda, who graduated from Biola University in 2005; Brendan, a 2007 graduate of Arizona State University; Kara, who is a high school freshman; and Cameron, a current sixth-grader at CCA.
Thom grew up in Tucson and attended St. Michael’s & All Angels Day School, then Canyon Del Oro High School, and graduated from the University of Arizona in 1982. He has over twenty-five years of marketing, sales and management experience, primarily in pharmaceutical sales. Thom has also served on the Amphitheater School District Governance Council. He wishes to lend his experience and talents to the board tempered with the knowledge that it is the "Lord that determines our steps” (Prov. 16:9). You can usually catch him in the late spring dressed in tights and playing the role of William Shakespeare at CCA’s annual Shakespeare festival.
Mr. Kerry Graham is new to the school board for 2007–2008. He graduated from Hardin-Simmons University (Abilene, TX) in 1988 with a BA in Art. For twenty years, he has been a graphic designer, specializing in working with churches through his company FaithSpan. For the last couple of years, he has been a designer of K–12 textbooks for major educational publishers. He has been married to his beautiful wife Kristina for ten years. Both of their children attend Cornerstone (Kindergarten and Second Grade). The Grahams moved to Arizona in the summer of 2005 to escape the humidity, hurricanes and mosquitoes of Houston, TX. Another reason they moved here was for their children to attend Cornerstone, and for the family to attend Catalina Foothills Church. Kerry first learned about Classical Christian schools in 2003 and knew that it was the type of education he wanted for his kids. During his term on the board, he hopes to help other parents learn to appreciate Classical Christian education and to spread the word about Cornerstone to more covenant families in Tucson.
Mrs. Kristen Haynes is serving her second year as a member of the Cornerstone Christian Academy school board. She is currently serving as board Secretary. Kristen earned her BS degree in Education from the University of Arizona. She taught first and second grade in the Amphitheater school district for five years. She completed Reading Recovery training in 1994 and was a reading specialist the last two years of teaching prior to starting a family. Kristen has been happily married to Doug Haynes for fourteen years and they have three children: Katelyn (seventh grade), Haley (fifth), and Dakota (second). The Haynes family attends Canyon Del Oro Baptist Church (adjacent to Pusch Ridge Christian Academy) and has been part of the CCA family for seven years. Kristen's desire is to joyfully serve the Lord in whatever tasks He lays before her
Mr. Jim Noller is now serving in the third year of his term as a member of the school board for Cornerstone Christian Academy. He serves as Vice President, Chairman of the Finance Committee, and will assist Thom Dwan with the Golf Marathon in the spring. Mr. Noller is an Arizona native, calling Phoenix home for much of his adolescent life. He graduated from the United States Naval Academy with a degree in General Engineering before serving in the Navy as a helicopter pilot for almost ten years. Mr. Noller and Kristi, his wife of fifteen years, relocated to Tucson about five years ago and have been attending Catalina Foothills Church ever since. In addition to being church members, Mr. and Mrs. Noller teach the 1st through 3rd grade Children's Catechism class, are part of Juarez Mission Team, and are involved in the Home Builders Sunday School class. Mr. Noller has two sons at Cornerstone. He desires to serve the Lord, the board and the school in his various roles to the best of his ability with the primary purpose of honoring God in all he does. He has committed to pray for Cornerstone Christian Academy daily this year and looks forward to all that God is going to accomplish for His glory.
Mrs. Cheri Uldrich is currently serving her third year on Cornerstone board. Two of her children Skye (5th) and Bailey (1st) enliven the classrooms at Cornerstone while Elle, having survived Mr. Hauschildt's sixth grade, enjoys life at Pusch Ridge Christian Academy as a seventh grader. Cheri's husband, Matt serves as Assistant Pastor of Catalina Foothills Church where she is now employed part time as a therapist. Cheri received a Bachelors of Science in Early Childhood Education and in Elementary Education from the University of Missouri as well as a Master of Arts in Counseling from Covenant Theological Seminary. Her seven years of teaching experience make her especially grateful for the curriculum at Cornerstone. She currently serves as the board chair of the education committee where she funnels her passion for grace centered, captivating education. Approximately fifteen years ago she set the record at her own elementary school for the flexed arm hang (which still stands)! She is hoping her own children and yours leave Cornerstone with a different legacy... loving Jesus, loving learning, sharing their gifts, and being stretched as they grow in wisdom and stature.
Mrs. Kristen Vick is serving her second term on Cornerstone's school board. She was a member of the original steering committee for CCA and was on the board for the first four years. Kristin graduated from Vanderbilt University with a degree in nursing and has lived in Tucson for over seventeen years. Kristin and her husband, Mike, are charter members of Catalina Foothills Church. They have a son at Cornerstone in fourth grade and have had three older children graduate from CCA and go on to Pusch Ridge Christian Academy. Their daughter graduated from PRCA in 2007 and attends Wheaton College. Kristin is pleased to be back on Cornerstone's board and to serve a school that has been an incredible blessing to her four children.
